I've been on a diet for two weeks and all I've lost is two weeks.

8 oz soft butter
3 tablespoon caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups plain flour
3/4 cup chopped slivered almonds

  1. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla together until light and creamy
  2. Add sifted flour and then salt
  3. Blend in almonds
  4. Shape spoonfuls into crescents
  5. Bake on an ungreased tray at 160 degrees for 15 min
  6. Cool on tray
  7. Toss in icing sugar
